Kundan Choker with Pearl Strands
Green enamel and kundan, with a fringe of drops and strands of pearls.
A choker sits closest to the face, so it has to be honest work. This one sets kundan stones in a band of deep green enamel, edged in pearls, with a fringe of green and pearl drops falling onto the collarbone.
It is worn with long strands of seed pearls that fall from the sides, so that the choker and the strands read as one necklace.
Kundan is the old Indian art of setting stones in pure gold foil, pressed in by hand around each one. Our karigars still work it the slow way.
