Emerald Bead and Polki Necklace
Rosettes of emerald beads around polki, with a pear-shaped pendant.
Green has always belonged to Indian royalty. This necklace is made of rosettes, each a polki at the centre surrounded by small emerald beads, linked into a collar that falls to a pear-shaped pendant worked the same way.
We choose emeralds for their colour first and their size second. A smaller stone with a deep, even green is worth more to us, and to the woman wearing it, than a large pale one.
